He Ascribed the assets a supervisor needs to perform his duties. “The most important quality is to be able to not just hear people talk, but to listen to them,” said Massie.
“A supervisor needs to know when it’s time to lead and time to follow. Part of the job is listening to constituents and doing what they want to do. At a big public meeting, people speak on both sides of an issue. When you vote, it is important to explain thoroughly why you voted, so people understand they were considered.”
