• Well, here we are! Well rested, energized and ready to give your kids everything we nave to insure their success this year.
• On Monday, Aug. 28, all instructional staff reported to RCES for a division wide discussion of Mastery. The goal for the day was to effectively define what our system believes mastery to be. Though it may seem to many to be an easy task, there were many valid conflicting views which had to be discussed.
Many thanks to the School Council for arranging this. Layne Vickers, RCES fourth grade teacher, and her committee did an outstanding job. Dr. David Gangel acted as moderator for the day and did a stellar job. It was a pleasure to have School Board members Mrs. Rosa Crocker and Mr. Wes Mills with us for this special event. Mrs. Aline Johnson would have attended, but was busy helping a new employee find housing in the county during the meeting!
Headwaters, Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation provided a delicious luncheon for all staff. Many thanks for this warm gesture.
