wonderful self-portraits were part of an extensive art project on portraiture taught by Mrs Harriette Rosenblatt, and the first phase of the school's beautification project.
This summer volunteers Amo Merritt, Kim Vest and Holly Propst trimmed the portraits. Many thanks. Twc weeks ago the first batch were hung. Famous art prints have also been purchased, framed and hung around the school iii the most unexpected places. Watch for them and be delighted. Many thanks tc Holly Propst, Marrietta Verrill, Ron and Josh Makela for the "sweat equity" invested in this project. We have man) more portraits to hang. • Please don't miss the beautiful Millennium quilts hanging in the Primary Hall at RCES. They were designed by the first grade students last year with quilting expertise provided by members of the Virginia Extension Service Quilters' Club. Mrs. Charlotte Laing was tremendously helpful. Many thanks to all who helped on this wonderful project which was the brainchild of Mrs. Deborah Flinchum.
