• We have all had the pleasure this week of meeting many new staff members. As the year progresses, we will try to tell you a little about each of them. We are very ; Dleased to have them with us and look forward to watching ymir children grow in their care. " * A special treat for all of Us is having several staff members return after brief sabbaticals. Mrs. Liz Blubaugh is returning to teach RCHS Spanish after spending a year im the staff of the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Kelly Estes will again teach second grade after staying home with her young children for a year. John Glass will be teaching second grade having just returned from a tour in Bosnia with . the National Guard.
• Mrs. Mary Anne Biggs, Assistant Superintendent, has announced that she will be retiring in December. She has brought unbridled spirit and enthusiasm to our system and her office and she will be greatly missed in that position. We are very happy for her and wish her the very best as she pursues new interests.
• Mr. Clay Short has just joined the RCES staff as Head Custodian. He will replace Mr. David Alther who resigned recently. We will miss David and wish him well, and look forward to having Mr. Short on board. Mr. Short will be assisted by Mr. Robert Lamery.
• There is nothing blue about our new RCES office staff, in spite of the newly painted blue walls. Mrs. Martha Kidwell and Mrs. Fay Smoot try to hold everything
