Bowersett Sr.

Veterinarian '* Roswell S. Bowersett Sr., 74, died on July 15 at Montgomery County General Hospital in Maryland.

Dr. Bowersett, a Silver Spring, Md., resident for 45 years, was born in Flint Hill.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

In 1951 he graduated from the University of Maryland and in 1955 graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia Veterinary School. I; Dr. Bowersett owned the Four Corners Animal Hospital m Silver Spring, Md., from it's founding in the late 1950's until he sold it and retired in , 1998. He had been a veterii narian in College Park, Md., ' before founding the Four Comers Animal Hospital.

He was a founder of the Montgomery County Veterinary Emergency Medical Service in Maryland and a charter member of the Washington D.C. Academy of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Bowersett was a lay pastor and member of Oakdale i Emory United Methodist Church in Olney, Md.

In the late 1960's he served as president of the Skyline Ski Area in Washington. His hobbies included travel, golf and cooking.
