In a lead photograph four year-old Dicky Burke of Woodville can keep out of mischief for a year by just being busy polishing his silver. Dicky, with his foxhound JJ, placed first in High General Average at the recent Northern Virginia Fox Hunters field trials and bench show in Culpeper. He was competing in a total class of 319 hounds. JJ placed first in speed and drive and endurance, fourth in hunting and fifth in trailing. Dicky is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Burke of Woodville. In another photo, Mrs. Betty Buntin examines a timber rattler which was killed on the Fodderstack Road just a short way out of town Friday by Hayward Whorton, an employee of the Department of Highways. The rattle snake was crossing the road as the highway truck passed and Mr. Whorton whacked off its head. RCHS Junior Varsity cheerleaders who will be on hand to lend support to the girls basketball squads this year are Natalie Swindler, Penny Chadwell, Laura Pendleton, i Shelia Bailey, Tammy Settle, Karen Welch, Lisa Raiford and Dee Welch.
