to visit County

U.S. Senator George Allen’s regional representative will hold local office hours on June 26 in Rappahannock County. Chaz Evans-Haywood will at the Rappahannock Library from noon to 2 p.m. on that day.

The representative will be available to discuss issues facing the area and to help anyone having problems with a federal agency.

• There being no business to come before the Rappahannock County Planning Commission, and with no pending business the regular meeting for i Wednesday, June 19 is I canceled. ( • Friday, June 21, at 8 p.m., RAAC presents the film “I Am Sam” at The Theatre on Gay Street, Washington. ' • The June 2002 meeting of the Rappahannock Board of '>Zoning Appeals has also been canceled. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be on ’Wednesday, July 24 at 7:30 p.m.

• Monday, July 1 is the deadline for filing an application for tax relief for the low income 'elderly and disabled. For information call the Commissioner of Revenue Office at 675-5370.

• Saturday, July 6, an old fashioned Fourth of July celebration for the people living and working in the Town of Washington will be held at the home of Mayor and Mrs. J.S. Willis, Mt. Prospect.
