Violet L. Whorton, 80, of Castleton died Wednesday, June 12 at Culpeper Regional Hospital.
She was bom Oct. 13, 1921 in Rappahannock County to the late Robert Lee Whorton and Lula Dodson WTiorton.
Survivors include her brother, Robert Whorton and his wife, Virginia of Castleton and two nieces, Darlene Compton and her husband, Ray of Castleton and Judy Coates and her husband, Chuck of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include one great-niece, Bobby Jo Settle of Culpeper and four greatnephews, Jeffrey Compton and his wife. Destiny and Brian Compton, all of Castleton, Tommy Settle of Chester Gap and C.R. Coates III of Bolton, Mass.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, El wood Whorton.
