Rev. N.V. Tibbs California resident Rev. Nathaniel V. Tibbs Sr., 65, died June 4 in San Diego, Calif. He was a member of new Creation Church in San Diego, Calif. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at Amissville Bethel Baptist Church with Elder James Johnson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Nellie Tibbs of San Diego, Calif. ; his ex-wife, Bettie Tibbs of Sterling; three sons, Nathaniel V. Tibbs Jr. and Antionne Tibbs, both of Culpeper and Hilton S. Tibbs of Sterling; one daughter, Blanche Tibbs of Sterling; ten grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren and one brother, Lloyd Payne of Beltsville, Md. Ames Funeral Home in Manassas was in charge of the arrangements.

Cemetery The Sperryville Cemetery Ad Hoc Maintenance Committee invites everyone to join them on Saturday, June 29 beginning at 8 a.m. for a general cleanup day at the Sperryville Cemetery. Bring whatever tools you have that may be of use in cleanup and trash removal, trimming grass around headstones and markers, pruning shrubs and trees, etc. Cold drinks and snacks will be provided.
