Joshua Waddell has graduated from the Combat Medic A.I.T. training at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. Josh is a graduate of* Rappahannock High School and the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Waddell of Route 707. He arrived home on Wednesday for the Father’s Day weekend with his parents.
Miss Ashleigh Cannon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Cannon of Castleton has graduated from Radford College and is now employed in Long Island, New York.
Congressman Eric Cantor, who represents our seventh district has presented awards to some local young people for their services to our community, namely Miss Ashley Corbin and her brother, Zachary who brought home silver medals and their younger brother Nathan, a bronze medal. The ceremony being held on May 30. They are children of Mr. and Mrs. Don Corbin of Slate Mills and we offer our congratulations.

Christopher Frazier, a sophomore at Rappahannock High School received an award for Building Maintenance I, at the awards banquet held on June 5.

Vacation Bible School at Mt. Lebanon is in progress all this week through Friday daily from 9:30 a.m. until noon. There will be a family cook-out on Friday at 7 p.m.
