When development begins within the Clevenger’s Corner Village Plan, the extent of runoff will increase. In a city, about 28 percent of its area involves roads and parking lots, the prime generators of runoff. In rural areas, the figure is closer to 15 percent. Thus, of the 1,900 acres in the Clevenger’s Corner Village Plan, possibly 285 acres will be generating such runoff. With a one-inch rainfall, there will be over 32,000 tons of water on the move.
