Mr. Kevis added that former vice mayor and councilman Steve Cntzer had looked at other locations, and he asked the council what options they were now referring to. Ms. Mitchell replied that they would be discussed in closed session
Mitzie Young said that she had lived in the town for 15 years and the wavewater treatment discussion had gor e on for most of that time. She said that many options had already been in\ estigated and that she thought that the selection of Avon Hall “is quite ideal" and criticized the council for their “constant backtracking.”
Town resident Barbara Stockton said of the discussion of new options that “it seems like we’re talking about politics within the Tbwn Council” and referred to Ms. Mitchell’s statement to the Rappahannock News during last spring’s pre election coverage, that Avon Hall’s i9 acres seems suitable for the wastewater treatment system.
Ms. Mitchell responded that it was true at the time, but that another option has presented itself that “may be more suitable.”
