The JV boys’ basketball team lost two games on the week dropping a two-point game to Strasburg and also dropping their contest with Brentsville. The team is 7-4 overall and 2-2 in the District. The team fell behind Strasburg by 15 points only to stage a second half rally, spurred by a tenacious defense, that saw the team tie the score. The Rams hit two free throws and a basket toward the end of the game and the Panthers missed a last second shot as the Rams prevailed to win 46-44.
The Junior Panther boys’ basketball team came up on the short end of the score against Luray and Cedar Lee. The team is 6-4 on the season. The Little Panthers jumped out to a 12 point lead against Luray only to see the Bulldogs stage a second half rally to gain the 44-40 win. The team dropped their second game of the week to a very good Cedar Lee team.
