Last May, Alex appeared as a special guest on a compact disc recorded inside Studio B at Hampton, 1 Va.’s Hampton University with the Young Razzcals Jazz Project, the brainchild of his saxophone teacher, acclaimed jazz pianist Dave Adams.
Mr. Adams formed the Virginia Beach-based Young Razzcals group after enthusiastic young jazz musicians showed up at one of his jam sessions. So impressed was he by their enormous talent at their preadolescent ages that he began regular rehearsals.
