Rappahannock hosted Massaponnax, Spotswood and RMA on Jan. 11. Wrestling in their third event in eight days, Rappahannock looked anything but tired, sweeping all three matches with a combined score of 19446.
Rappahannock opened against Spotswood, having previously wrestled them at Buffalo Gap when they won four matches. This time they were limited to two wins. Final score was 69-9.
The second match was against RMA. Rappahannock took 10 of the 14 weight classes, winning the match 60-20 easily.
The third match was slated as Rappahnnock’s toughest. Both teams were 2-0 for the day. But Massaponnax faired no better than the first two teams, winning three matches and losing 65-17.
