Tommy has prepared himself for more adventure and learning in a camp environment. J Scouts Robbie Hamill-Huff, Aaron Oyster, and Ben Pierson were then recognized for earning Second Class Rank.
Among other requirements for this rank, Robbie, Aaron and Ben have learned the use of map and compass to find their way in the outdoors, and to provide meals for themselves and others.
Following the awards ceremony, a covered dish dinner was enjoyed by all.
A reflection on the last calendar year of Scout outings, with accompanying photographs, was also presented.
A preview of upcoming outings including a ski trip to Roundtop, Pa., indoor swimming at the Freedom Center in Manassas, whitewater rafting on the lower Youghiogheny River and summer camp at Camp Rock Enon whet appetites for more fun and adventure.
