Prior to the elections, the meeting was chaired bv Superintendent. Williams who welcomed new Hampton District member Douglas Baumgardner.
Mr. Baumgardner was selected by the board on Jan. 2 to replace Rose Arm Sharp who had resigned from the board. His fellow candidates for the seat were James Oyster, Nels Parson and Sharon Lea Pyne, all of whom were complemented as being "worthy candidates" for the seat by Chairman Wesley Mills.
