At its first meeting of the new year on Tuesday night, the Rappahannock County School Board accepted the motion of Stonewall-Hawthorne District member Franklin Warner and returned last year's slate of officers for new one-year terms.
On a vote of four ayes and one "present" (from Wakefield District’s Rosa Crocker), the board elected Jackson District's Wesley Mills as its chair, Piedmont District's Aline Johnson as its vice chair and Assistant Superintendent Jack Raines as clerk.
Interim Superintendent Helen Williams was elected as deputy clerk and Mr. Raines as superintendent's designee.
The board also reelected Ms. Crocker as Headwaters representative and Mrs. Johnson as George Washington Carver/Piedmont Board
