This is a typical Irish saying that you might hear repeated more often than not during the next few days. The 17th of March, St. Patrick’s Day, is celebrated all over the world in honor of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland.
It's a celebration for being Irish and enjoying things Irish. And through this holiday, Ireland has become the land of legends, luck, and leprechauns.
The person who was to become St. Patrick, was not bom in Ireland, but in Wales at about AD 385. His given name was Maewyn, and he almost did not get the job of bishop of Ireland because he lacked the required education.
