Chuck Mauro, author and photographer of “The Battle of Chantilly 'Ox Hill): A Monumental Storm” will give his interpretation of this most pivotal of battles — which saved Washington, D.C., from imminent invasion by Lee and Jackson — at a program on March 18 sponsored by the Blue Ridge Civil War Round Table.
Mauro will discuss his views and present slides of maps and photographs from this conflict, the largest Civil War battle fought in Fairfax County.
His presentation will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library.
