I he MVP tor Varsity was Kerry Grigsby and the Coaches Award went to David Letsen. The JV MVP was Ethan Berry and the Coaches Award went to two players, Eric Phillips and Jason Jenkins.
The Junior Panther MVP was Irving Smith and Coaches Award went to Carlos Flores. The players that will move up next year to Varsity will be well suited to the coach’s style and we should see a much-improved season in 2003-2004.
The Varsity Wrestling team MVP was Jeff Scroggins. The Coaches Award went to Eric Norman.
Jeff placed third in the state for his weight level this past weekend.
The Junior Panther team had a past State Winner in Connor Miller and he received the MVP award. The Coaches Award went to Jonathan Butler.
This three-year-old program should do well in the future as there were several members of the Varsity and Junior Panthers teams that excelled this season.
The Cheerleading Squads have come a long way and they are still in competition.
They will be traveling to Kings Dominion in April for a tournament with squads from several states.
The fact that we have so many boys on the squad is a real step forward in the progress for this team.
The boys’ Varsity MVP was Derrick Hiserman and Mike Wiese received the Coaches Award. Mike was also named to first Tteam All District.
The Varsity Girls’ MVP was Jami Jacobs and the Coaches Award went to Brittany Davis.
The JV MVP award went to Anna Owens and the Coaches Award to Angela Bigelow.
