The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary met with new president Monica Worth last week to discuss plans for the Country Festival which follows the Fodderstack Race on Saturday, April 26.
The Country Festival will be sponsored by the Flint Hill Fire Department.
Also discussed was the fireman’s carnival which is set for June 11-14.
Attending the meeting were Mary Blaisdell, Mary Frances Bywaters, Arland Welch, Mary Curtis, Harriet Davis, Lucy Foster, Margaret Lee, Jean Lillard, Lois Markee and Gaynelle Russell.
A community breakfast will be held at the fire hall on Saturday, March 15 at 8:45 a.m. Everyone is invited.
Rodney Vest of Woodville was a Tuesday visitor of his mother, Christine Vest.
The Washington Baptist Church held a Thinking Day program to honor Girl Scouts on Friday evening. Among those attending were Bill and Joanne Welch, and Elizabeth Welch, who is a Girl Scout.
The United Methodist Women will meet on Monday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mabel Lillard.
Mrs. Doris Vest is recuperating at her home after having knee surgery at Winchester Medical Center. She is reported to be doing well. We wish her a speedy recovery.
