On March 26, the Rappahannock County Elementary School PTO presented Reading Favorites Night at the school. About 65 parents and friends were present as 31 students give presentations about books.
The students gave short reviews, read snippets from books or poems, and a short skit. The children were awarded $5 gift certificates for participating.
The event followed a brief PTO meeting, during which Dr. Robert Chappell outlined the main points from the proposed school budget.
