We extend heartfelt sympathy to the family of Grace Griffith of Boston, who at the age of 90 passed away Monday at Culpeper Regional Hospital and to the family of Col. John (Jack) Sigman, 86, of “Indigo Farm” who passed away Wednesday at Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge in Charlottesville.

May these families receive the comfort that only our Lord can give.

Rev. and Mrs. Jack Knapp of Virginia Independent Baptist Association of Richmond, conducted services at Black Oak Regular Baptist Church last Sunday.

Mrs. Henry Wharton and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville were recent callers of Eunice Meade on Hash Lane.

Wednesday Mrs. Meade and her daughter, Mrs. Frazier visited her brother, Jesse Jenkins in Culpeper Regional Hospital.

The Salem Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments received several awards at the Amissville Firemen’s Parade last week namely, Best Appearing Honorary Fire chief, Miss Bethany Brown, Best Appearing Little Mister went to Pili Scott and Miss Kamry Peyton won as the Best Appearing Junior Miss.
