The town reservoir project is underway. Construction for access to the site is expected to begin at the end of next week. Mayor Eugene Leggett says much of the project depends on the suppliers of building materials.

Unlike the last reservoir, made of cement, this tank will be about twice the size, at 200,000 gallons, and made of steel, a metal in extremely short supply in the U.S. For this reason, it is impossible to predict or even estimate the completion date of the project. Mayor Leggett has estimated the cost for the new reservoir at $300,000.

Wastewater project

The wastewater project is also moving along. The town council is waiting for a prelimiriary engineering report which is expected to come within the next three weeks. Only after analysis of the report will they know what their options are for creating a wastewater system for the town, the approximate completion date of the project, and an estimated cost. Mayor
