The beauty of the lighting ordinance is that it says "No'" to the way Sheetz. McDonalds, Walmart (and other outsiders who care not one whit about the county we love) would develop our land. The ordinance would give our officials the authority to limit the offensive character of the worst new commercial development. McDonalds and even Sheetz have adjusted their lighting levels and facility designs to accommodate local ordinances elsewhere, to the joy of communities with the foresight to enact the right ordinances, BEFORE the big guys moved in. This is what we pay our elected officials to do.
