Mennonites (1683) and many more in their search for religious freedom. While all these religions have significant differences I believe that they all call for compassion, peace and service.
Let us rise above our roots and acknowledge all religions as having an equal basis and an equal right to exist, whether we agree with them or not, and join together to serve our community as best we can.
As a final note I would like to point out that in the original article. Unitarian Universalism was never identified in any wav as a Christian religion, making L. Torrance's assertion that “this is not a Christian church" somewhat beside the point as they had never claimed to be one.
