H. D. Meeting In Fairfax
A most impressive District 7 home demonstration meeting was held Tuesday, May 2, at Fairfax.
In the round table discussion, Mrs. Jessie Rowzie, of Rappahannock, told of the accomplishments of the county H.D. clubs. Those from Rappahannock county in attendance at the meeting included Mrs. Stanley Williams, Mrs. Pearl Mills, Mrs. Jessie Rowzie, Mrs. Mabel Racer, Mrs. Gene Wagner, Mrs. A. C. Latham, Mrs. A. C. Latham, Jr., Mrs. Charles Green, Mrs. Charles Smith, Mrs. Joe Hitt and Mrs. Lea Waiters.
Burning Law Is 4 O'clock
Until After May 15
The Board of Supervisors yesterday rescinded the motion made and carried at the April meeting regarding the rescinding of trashburning laws.
The state burning law is that no trash or brush fires may be started before 4 o’clock in the ^afternoon. This law is in effect until Monday, May 15.
Virginia 4-H’ers Attend
National Camp
Four members of Virginia’s 4H clubs have been named to represent the State at the 20th National 4-H Camp in Washington, D. C., June 14 to 21.
They are Joanne Armistead of Nathalie; Mary Ann Long, of Shelby; Hebert Pratt, of Martinsville; and Trey H.—barter,—ofPortsmouth, all chosen on the basis of outstanding 4-H project work and leadership activities.
The program, State club officials explain, is planned to give the delegates an opportunity to have a better understanding of the national government, and to give them a deeper realization of the responsibilities of citizenship.
Nationally known speakers and delegates will hold discussions.
Firemen's Meeting
There will be a meeting of the Rappahannock Volunteer Fire Department at the fire house Wednesday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. All members are urged to be present.

Mrs. Fannie Eastham entertained at dinner at her home in Flint Hill on Tuesday evening, having as her guests the Rev. J. Parks Hackney of Pamplin, Rev. and Mr3. Norman J. Flythe, Rev. and Mrs. M. E. Sliger, Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Bradf rd, and Mrs. Bessie Bradford.
