Library New*

At the last meeting: of the club, •we discussed plans for improving our library and making it more useful to all next year.
Some of the points we discussed were: to keep our magazine rack more orderly and to try to influence the students not to remove covers from the magazines and to place them back in the rack when through with them.
A new set of Compton’s pictured encyclopedia has been purchased for the school and are now ready for use in the library.
Next year we hope to have more members and to carry out the plans which we .have made.
Alumni New*
The following alumni spent the whek end at their homes: a
Lena Mae Green, who attends Madison College; Eoadcap Atkins, an employee in Winchester; Irvin Sisk employed at Occoquon; Jim Massie of University of Virginia; Mary Miller Latham of Strayer.
Grade Assembly
On Thursday Mrs. Barron and all her second grade pupils put on an assembly, entitled “A Late Spring.” This assembly was very colorful as the pupils were dressed in green, yellow and the spring colors. The pupils represented sun rays, worms, birds, winds, etc. Parents of some of the children attended the program. Next week is Miss Jenkins’ and the first grade’s time to entertain the elementary grades.
