H. S. Barksdale, John A. Tapp, Earl R. Yancey, and T. M. Johnston were among the 400 com-* mitteemen, representing 99 agricultural counties of Virginia, at r the convention of the annual State Production and Marketing Administration in Richmond April 27 and 28.

Confidence in the soundness of the price support program for agliculture was expressed by Dr. Paul D. Sanders, master of the state Grange and editor of the Southern Planter. In his address, at the convention at Hotel Richmond, Dr. Sanders said critics of the Federal farm program “are rendering a disservice” by their attitude.
