Each generation must face the problems which confront it. One problem though fought by countless generations through the ages is still unconquered. This problem is alcoholic drink.
We often wonder why people drink—Perhaps it is an attempt to escape reality, to drown their disappointments and worries and temporarily forget their responsibilities; or maybe it’s the result of a desine to be with the crowd and not be tagged “chicken.”
We are young—now is the time for us to seriously talk about this problem. We must realize that alcohol is not a refuge but an enemy.
Don’t be buiifed into taking a drink by so-called friends. . . It’s not sissified, but merely good common sense to refuse.
