In Kitchen Arrangement
Miss'Alverson, of extension service V.P.I., was in Rappahannock Monday, May 8, to advise homemakers -on kitchen arrangement problems and to instruct interested parties on general problems of kitchen construction.
Miss Alverson and Miss Janet! Sollenberger visited several homes where homemakers had requested suggestions and advice. At the home of Mrs. R. V. Snead suggestions were made on complete remodeling of the kitchen and location of a laundry room. Mrs. Weldon Burke in Woodville received suggestion on the re-arrangement of large kitchen equipment for time-saving and step-saving work. Mrs. Ashby Butler in Woodville, who is re-modeling an old home, received suggestion on locating the large equipment in a newly 5uilt kitchen. Miss Ethel Long was gtv'u advice on the placing of a refrv 'rator. Mrs. R. L. Massie sought '•ggestions for building a new kitduw and dining room.
In the afternoon Miss Alverson held a meeting in the Washington Fire House to which all homemakers interested in suggestions to solves kitchen problems were invited.
