la th« past few article* which Rappahannock News has so kindly published for me 1 have spoken mostly about the Old Age Assistance program and said very little about the other kinds of public assistance rendered by local welfare departments. This is perhaps appropriate, as this welfare department has more OAA cases than any other kind; however, today I want to say something about the other programs and services.
Perhaps it would be safe to say that we spend the best part of our time administering the federal programs — Old Age Assistance, Aid to Dependent Children, and Aid to the Blind. By federal programs we mean that the' federal government gives money to the states to help them carry out the programs. Of course state and local funds are involved too, bat the federal government appropriates more than either the state or local government to these three pro
