If "he’s from Virginia, you’ll know it; and if he isn’t, don’t embarrass him.:” My mother is the finest and best mother in the world and I hate to embarrass anyone else by a discussion of Mother’s Day.
My mother seemed a little shocked once when I said I wasn’t sure I approved of Mother’s Day. A true mother gets all the credit and appreciation she deserves when she’s earned it; and if she hasn’t earned it, all the deceitful slobbering is disgusting.
It is pathetic when you think of how many people do not have a mother as wonderful as your own. Your pity for those less fortunate than yourself renews the belief that Mother’s Day should be observed the other 364 days as well as the second Sunday in May.
