Editor Lewie in the final talk of the institute talked on the need in small communities of men with ideas, he gave the points of the Franklin Plan whereby the youth in schools are given guidance in choosing their careers by Steering Committees consisting of interested teachers; by Career Days when talks on various vocations are given by workers in those fields; and by aptitude tests.
This plan, which is not copyrighted, gives the pupils an idea of what thejr want to do and teaches them how to go about doing it.
This Seventh Institute was another of Madison College’s /attempts to survey the past /and present of American education, to analyse it, to point the iway towards progress in education, and to step out in the right direction.
