Three 4-H girls won out in the county contest at the Washington Fire House. Bonnie Gentry of the ■- Flint Hill 4-H Club won first place In “Food Planning, Preparation and Service” contest. She gave a very excellent demonstration on "Custard Making.” ; Tiney Gentry of Flint Hill 4-H Club won first place in the “Room Improvement” project. Tiny is redecorating her bed room very attractivel). Evelyn Mills of the Huntly club, won first place on her “Clothing” project. She made a very attractive dress.
Other girls winning 2nd and 3rd places in this contest were: Betty Lou Rutherford, second place in the “Food Project." Audrey * >Gough and Jean Hawkins third place in the “Foods Project”. Gail Scott second in the “Clothing Project.” Paula Miller, Jo Ann Zinn and Rosa Belle Williams third in the “Clothing Project.” > The judges at this contest were: Mrs. Jessie Rowzie and Ruth Stevens. .They were treated by the girls giving food demonstration with the products they hid made. Bonnie Gentry made custard, Bet* ty Lou Rutherford, Tossed Salad and Fresh Dressing, Jean Hawkins made coconut macaroons and Audrey Gough showed the correct way of setting the table.
