JAMES WILLIAM LATHAM
We, the Board of Deacons, and the members of the Amissville Baptist church, wish to pay tribute to our beloved member, Mr.' James William Latham, who came to the end of fiiS earthly life on February* 22, 1350. He was a loyal and faithful member of his church and had been a Trustee and member of the Board of Deacons for a long period of time. We shall always remember his sincerity, his Christlike attitude toward others, his Christian service, and his interest in any progress toward the elevation of the community in which he lived. In loving mealory of his consecrated like we adopt the following resolutions:
First. We bow in humble submission to God’s will knowing He doeth all things well.
Second. We extend to his wife, our deepest sympathy and prayers, and may she say with the Psalmist: “The Lord is my shepherd; yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil; for thou are with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."
Third: That a copy of. these resolutions be sent to "his wife, ‘a copy to the Religious Herald and a copy to the Rappahannoek News for publication.
