Mrs. Robert Massie entertained the bridge club at her home in Flint Hill Thursday evening, having as her guests, Mrs. George H. Davis, Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. Lewis Turner* Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. C. T. Bruce, Mrs. J. W. Price, Mrs. Elisabeth DeBergh, Mrs. Frank Moffett, Mrs. J. E. Keyser, Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr., Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. Top prize was awarded Mrs. Bradford; traveling prize to Mrs. Wade Massie; Mrs. Moffett, low; and bingo prizes were won by Mrs. Lewis Turner and Mrs. J. W. Price.

BRANCH ENTERTAINS WITH BRIDGE

Mrs. C. H. H. Branch entertained

recently with two tables of bridge at her apartment at Sperryville. Those playing were Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. I. R. Kilby, Mrs. George Taylor, Mrs. C. H. Estes, Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. Joseph H„ Ay lor, and Mrs. John P. Snead. Mrs. Charles Estes made the highest score. After the game a salad course was served by the hostess, assisted by Her daugh(ter, Mre. C. E. Johnson, Jr.

PARCEL POST SALE NETS

♦40 FOR COURTHOUSE BLINDS

The Parcel Post Sale, held by the ladies^ of the Courthouse offices (referred to as the “Courthouse Gang”) was a success, according to the ladies. They cleared |40. The ladies have expressed thanks to the people who sent parcels for sale and to those who supported the sale with their attendance.

The money is to go into a fund for the purchase of, Venetian blinds for the offices in the Courthouse.
