Farmers Urged To Buy
U. S. Savings Bonds
Farmers of Rappahannock conn* ty are urged by J. Rodes Brown, Jr., to put part of their profits to work in one' of the safest investments in the world, United States Savings Bonds.
"You worked hard for your money, make it work for you,” Mr. Brown stated in quoting a national Savings Bonds slogan for farmers.
He asked farmers to be sure their hard-earned money is (working in a safe interest-earning security like Savings Bonds. After ten years, money invested in Savings Bonds increases by one-third. Meanwhile the farm family always has an easily available financial reserve for emergencies.
Mr. Brown pointed out farmers are engaged in a risky business and therefore should put their profits in a non-risk investment.
Savings Bonds can be purchased in convenient denominations at any bank or post office.
