On Television Program -

Mayor Dorothy Davis and Mr. Davis were in New York recently where she was on the television show of Robert Q Lewis, at 11 p.m. Sunday. It was a guest interview with Mayor Davis on her platform, and what the yomen of Washington expect&to d<> dur- ' ing their term in office. Sunday night at 12 Mayor Davis broad> cast with the Barry Gray program with Dick Brown as master of ceremonies.. Monday at 4 p.m. Mrs. Davis was on the radio with Nancy Craig, this program was transcribed Tuesday at 4 p.m. over the stations from Charlottesville and Lynchburg.

County News Notes

Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Hitt and son, of Remington, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Moss.

Rev. and Mrs. Norman J. Flythe and two daughters, Sarah and Mary, and Mrs. Fred Hitt of Culpeper were dinner guests Sunday of the Misses Hitt at Sperryville.

Miss Ruth C. Menefee and George Effren of Washington, D. C., were week-end guests of Mrs. Virginia M. Lewis at Sperryville.

Elder and Mrs. J. Harvey Daily, who have spent the past few weeks in the middle west, returned to their home in Sperryville Thursday.

Mrs. C. H. H. Branch and Mrs. C. E. Johnson spent Friday shopping in Charlottesville.

Mrs. Carroll'Menefee and Frank Jarvis spent the week end with Mrs. Griffin Durant and Mrs. Frank Bennett in Culpeper.

Mrs. Carson Johnson, accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Sarah Brown Craun of Orange, spent the week-end witjf their brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Graham Allison, in Baltimore, Md.

Robert Small and his mother, of Alexandria, spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Kate Crane.

Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Smith spent Sunday in Mt. Jackson with Mr. and Mrs. Lee Stoneburner.

Mrs. Jaenie Jarvis spent the week end with friends in Washington and Philadelphia:

Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Jr., of Strasburg, was a guest Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Johnson at Sperryville.

Mr. and Mrs. James Clatterbuck and son, Jimmie, of Silver Spring, Md., spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Clatterbuck. __ _ _
