Five Rappahannock fanners recently purchased six registered Angus bulls from Dalton Angus Farm of Radford. By polling their orders, a practice successfully employed in the past, these farmers were aj>le to get a reduction in purchase price, and the seller deliver the bulls and' vaccinate them against shipping fever twelve days prior to shipment as a matter of protection. Farmers included in this cooperative purchase were C. R. Wire, who,recently purchased “The Shade,” Miss Eda Finks of Peola Mills, L. J. Turner and D. D. Miller of Washington, and Herbert Foster of Flint Hill. Pending weather conditions the bulls are to be delivered to Jack Miller’s scale lot at Washington around noon on Saturday, February 24. .. The Dalton Herd, including the above bulls, was inspected by D. D. Miller, Herbert Foster and your scribe on February 9, who were pleased with the matrons as well as the herd sires.
