A tabulation of the results thus - far show that the minimum requirement to assure the launching of the music enterprise this summer in Rappahannock county had, been exceeded by $200.. The minimum amount. needed is $600, while a total or $000 was reported. Cards bearing the names of 226 residents of the couhty were distributed a few days ago to *three groups of workers-r-one - in Washington and the northern, end of the county, in charge of Mrs. D. D. Miller; another in Sperryville and the southern end of the county, under Rev. Paul Thompson, and a third consisting of the officers.

Not satisfied with reaching and exceeding the smaller goal, the groups decided to extend the campaign for another week in an effort to reach a total of $1200. Another report meeting is to be held next Sunday afternoon at 4:30 in the Sperryville home of Mr. and Mrs. James Atkins.
The committee appointed to locate a suitable place for the concerts is compiling a list of possibilities to be presented to a representative of the Virginia Orchestra on March 3, at which time it is hoped that a decision can be reached. Suggestions are invited and should be addressed to C. E, Johnson, Jr., chairman of the committed. ■ "AThew supply of aduRfhad ' dent tickets* is being'printed and •are to be placed on sale at Rappahannock News office and other points in the county. Mrs. I. R. Kilby is in charge of such public sale of tickets.
Advice from the tax authorities in Washington, D.C., states that membership tickets bought in advance of the concerts are no4- subject to the amusement tax. Tickets bought at the door will be taxed.
P.-T. A. Meeting Be Held

There will be an Important ,"v meeting of the County P.-T. A. at : the Rappahannock County High School, Washington, Monday night, February 26, at 7:36. At this meeting the committees of representative citizens will give a report on what it thinks the county should do with the Battle Fund for schools; This matter is Very important to us all, and, since it .. is hard to make 4n intelligent decision without really knowing the ^ facts, all adult citizens are urged to attend this meeting.
