Some weeks ago the Walrus got firmly pushed into the dog-house by a very young lady of the county for telling a story on her. (’Twas for quoting her in telling the younger sister, “Well, go on and yell your head of; we’re going to get another baby anyway, and we'll just throw you away.”) The young lady paid a visit to the News office and let me have it—both barrels! When she finished, a promise had been extracted that we would NEVER again put her name in the paper. (It appeared that people had teased her a wee bit.) .. Last week the young lady (<we promised we wouldn’t print her name) went visiting in a neighboring county. Her relatives brought her home at the end of her visit, and—woe betide!—the News stated that “Miss (blank) returned such-and-such a day from a visit with relatives in Louisa. She was "driven home hySo^and So.” ~ i-V'

“I was NOT driven home,” she has declared indignantly, “I came home because I wanted to.”
