COSTUME BRIDGE PARTY
Mr. and Mis. 9. IX Miller entertained the bridge dub at their borne, “Maple Spring,** Saturday* aliening. It wise a little unusual,, for the bridge club members, as' all the ladies wore jeans, or borrowed their son's or husband^* clothes. •
Mrs. MHler, the hostess, met her guests garbed in her .son’s jeans. It was said that one lady of Washington wore blue jeans and had her hair tied in red ribbons. Mrs. DeBergh stated she looked premier and younger than sh had in 30 years. Another young dub member from Harris Hollow wore her son’s fatigue suit/ which was most unusual. Mrs. Moffett borrowed from her son; Mrs. J. E. Keyser was right at home in riding clothes belonging to heT son Hampson; Mrs. B. M. Miller, back on the farm in her jeans and red shirt; Mrs. Lewis Turner had to rush to Culpeper at the last minute and buy jeans ao she’d be ready for the Spring planting of her flower garden, with Mrs. George Davis, who also wore blue jeans. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood both came wearing matching jeans and looked ready for a good time. J. E. Keyser was there to escort his wife to the party. Pun was had by all cooking hot dogs and fixing supper in the recreation room at an open fire place.
Finally all settled down to play bridge. Prizes were won by Mrs. Keyser, first; Mrs. Tmfn'er traveling; and Mrs. DeBergh, low.
