Many beef calves have hit the ground! Don’t neglect vaccination against Blackleg!, Some Rappahannock farmers are using the combination vaccine which immunizes against blackleg and malignant edema. The latter disease very closely resembles backleg and is reported being in the county. It has known to exist in Culpeper and Madison counties for several years. The combined vaccine is available through the Commissioner of Agriculture, State Office Btrilding-, Richmond, Attention—Wool Producers!
Rappahannock wrool producers are urged to hold wool for a county pool, regardless of prices offered privately. No'pool price was indicated at the annual meeting of the United Wool Growers Association, hel^ Tuesday in Harrisonburg. However, the pool advance is expected to be announced in a week or ten days, and indications regarding prices were encouraging.

Held Special Meeting
The W. S. C. S. of WTashington Methodist church held a special meeting at the home of Mrs. Ora Ramey Wednesday evening. During a social hour after the business meeting Miss Janet Sollenberger was presented a reproduction of George Washington’s favorite bedspread.
Mrs. Ellis Bywaters, assisted by Mrs. D. Murphy from Jeffersonton and Mrs. J. C. Cropp from Amissville, brought a mission study class on “We Seek Him Together,’’ at the Washington Met h o d i s t church Sunday afternoon. MrsGilbert Updike gave a review of the book “Newness of Life”. Members of the W.S.C.S. from Flint Hill, Amissville, and Jeffersonton attended.
