On Sunday, April 22 a service of baptism was held for the new members of the Washington Baptist church. Pastor, M. E. Sliger baptized the following, Eleanor Jenkins, Mrs. Louise Pullen, Francis Atkins, John Franklin Payne, William Payne, Lillie Woodard, Julia Mae Atkins, Mrs. Margaret Foster, Joyce Clark, and three candidates for other churches. They were Elizabeth Ann Printz, William Printz and Mason Hitt.
At the evening services the new members of the W ashington church were welcomed into full membership. New I^iblfes were presented each new member by Mrs. John Keyser.

Mrs. David Corbin entertained at bridge at her home in Flint Hill Monday evening, having as her guests Mrs. John S. Browning,
Charles Wood, who won bingo; Mrs. Robert Massie, who won the traveling prize; Mrs. G. W. Smith who won the low prize. Other guests playing were Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. William Gilbert, Jr., Mrs. Paul Miller, Mrs. Earl Edmonds, Mrs. Fisher Burford, Mrs. Brue Wood, Mrs. Johnnie MeGehee, Mrs. Claude Cook, Mrs. W. A. Helps 4-H Program
Virginia’s 4-H’ers will give added emphasis to wildlife conservation this year, says Dr. W. E. Skelton, state 4-H agent at VPI.
The program is being speeded up with the cooperation of the Virginia Wildlife Federation which is offering memberships at reduced rates to 4-H club members, and which has drawn up an educational plan to help the members in i^ildlife conservation.
