That little bit of wording allways confused me a bit, until recently, when a new slant has suddenly fallen upon it.
Now, in Spring, generally, a young man’s fancy falls to loafing, what with a combination of spring-fever and fishing season.But
read Mr. Tennyson’s words more carefully: “lightly turns,’’ he says. Ah! now I begin to see. If no particular energy is required, and, you’ll notice, Mr. Tennyson didn’t specify any, then the young man may turn— and observe this, also — his “thought^'’ to love. Yep, you could have a genuine case of advanced spring-fever, sit on the creek bank and fish, and still have your fancies “lightly turn to thoughts’’ of ’most anything.
Out in the Amissville neighborhood, a fellow has the best idea yet. “I’m looking for that job that requires no work, pays a good salary, and lasts for the rest of my lifetime.”___
