For Eastern Ram Sale
Sheep breeders from 15 states have listed entries for the Eastern Stud Ram Show and Sale in Staunton June 13 and 14, George W. Litton, associate animal husbandman at VPI announced.
Although 164 entries have been receiv'ed, the sale quota will be cut to 60. Hampshires, 16 Shropehires, 19 Southdowns, and 20 Dorsets, Litton said. .The 18 states •MMgihm'jf 'afe"’ New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Maryland, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Kentucky, Ohio, North Carolina, Tennessee, Illinois, New Jersey, Georgia, and Virginia.
Awards amounting to some $1,350 will be given top entries; and a trophy, in memory of the late Mennis Lawson, Burkes Garden, will be given by f. C. Lycette, Baltimore, Md., to the consignor of the grand champion Hampshire ram..
•will be held June 13; the sale will be held June 14. Henry Beseuden, a Southdown breeder from Winchester, Ky., will be the banquet speaker.
Judge will be Hilton Briggs, dean of agriculture at the University of Wyoming, Laramie, Wyo.

Saturday, May 5, is the deadline for payment of poll taxes to Vote in the November elections. It 4s advisable to check and make sure that this tax is paid, so there will be no misunderstanding.
The election in November, following the August primary, will be the election of county officials and both State Senator and Representative.
