Mrs. Kistner to Lecture
On Flower Arrangement
The Rappahannock County Garden Club will sponsor Mrs. Ruth Kistner who twill give two lectures on flower arrangement May 14, in the Spsrryville school. The first lecture will start at 1,0:00 a.m. and the afternoon session will begin at 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served at 12:00 o’clock by the ladies of the Methodist church of Sperryville at $1.00 at plate.
Mrs. Kistner is a nationally known authority on flower arrangement and has taught classes on this subject in 42 states. She is co-author with Gladys Taber of the popular book “Flower Arrangement in the American Home”. Her writings have appeared in House and Garden, House Beautiful and American Antique Magazine. She has lectured at the American Horticultural Society National Council Judges School and The Museum of Moderh Art.
As a color expert she is engaged as advisor to three manufacturers of drapery fabrics.
It is hoped that the public will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and hear Mrs. Kistner. Tickets may be secured from Mrs. James M. Settle, Flint Hill; Mrs. George DaVis, Washington, or at the door on the day of the lecture. Tickets are $2.00, which includes the tax.
