Be Given Students
On May 26, June 16, find June 30, educational testing service examinations will be given throughout the nation to students who have completed or who have about completed at least one year of college work. 1 he information obtained is to be used by Selective Seivice local boaids in cons.daring the eligibility of registrants toroccupational dateimerits at students.
State Headquarters for Selective Service, in making the above statement, went on to say that college seniors and others contemplating entrance into graduate or professional schools, and other students who have already begun and plan to continue their college studies, are eligible to take the exaination under proper application. Application forms and information concerning the test are now available at all offices of Selective Service local boards and may be obtained upon personal request. The application and the information will n^t be mailed to the student.
A passing score on the test does not automatically place the student-registrant in a deferred classification. However, the test score, or scholastic standing in college or university will be used by local boards in determining the eligibility of registrants to be considered for deferment, and the following must apply 'before a student-registrant may be considered for deferment: (A) Completed one year—freshman
(1) Accepted for, or in, next sophomore class.
(2) Was in upper two-thirds of first year class (male only), or 70
